PORTE ASSENTS
NEAR EAST ARMISTICE GREEK TROOPS' TRANSFER. AN OBJECTION RAISED. (Received 2.3r> p.m.) CONSTANTINOPLE, April 9. The Porte has agreed to the armistice. It Suggests that Constantinople is unsuitable for the> negotiations, owing to the political situation. It urges the Allies to prevent the Greek army's transfer to Thrace after the evacuation of Anatolia.—A. and N.Z.
