At the meeting of the County Council last Wednesday, a petition was received from some 80 ratepayers, asking that five acres of the Mannu Experimental grounds be se.t aside as a cemetery, the lnnd asked for being- suitable and not likely to be required' for planting purposes. The Council granted the request, agreeing to make it a public burial place, the Council acting as "trustees.
