Drowning Fatality
Last evening at Poxton-a young man named Wm. Hamer, who was well known in the district, was drow ned in the river. It seems that he was either going out to or coming from his launch, which was moored in the river, in a flat-bottomed boat, when the boat capsized. The river is at present. in flood and the strong current carried him under. Up to a late hour last night the body had not been ro evered.
