Per Press Association. Wellington, Last Night.. The Union Company's steainor Waikaro arrived off iha Heads to-night at 10 o'clock and steamed to hor anchorage. Tho vessel was thirty hours overdue from Sydney. It is probable that she was delayed by tho heavy fog of tho last couple cf days. A rumour that the vessel was ashore afc Farewell Spit was circulated in tho city to-day and causrd much concern, to people wilb relatives and friends on board.
