SHOW REGULATIONS.
Important Alterations To
Rules.
The A. and P. Committee on Saturday adopted importaut alterations to its rules governing the removal of. exhibits at shows. The altered rules read as follows:
That none of the exhibits be removed from the Showground during the continuance of the Show without the conseut in writing of the stewards of the class in which the same are entered, and if removed with such consent they shall be returned to their proper places at the time specified by the stewards. The stewards may in their discretion refuse such consent, or before granting the same require the exhibitors to deposit £2 with the secretary. Any exhibitor failing to observe this regulation would forfeit £2 ana as an additional penalty all prizes won by the exhibitors may bo forfeited and exhibitors debarred from showing at future shows.
The responsibility for the accuracy of the description or pedigree, and for the legibility of competing animals, rests solely with the exhibitors.
Although it i 8 provided that horses may compete in more than one class, any or all classes may be judged simultaneously at the convenience of judge or steward. In all such cases, exhibitors having an exhibit entered in more than one class must elect in what class they compete.
The amendments were adopted with very brief discussion. Mr Dunk explained that they did away with the 1.0.U.'s which exhibitors removing exhibits haoi to hand to the secretary, but it did not prevent the secretary exacting a deposit of £2 from anyone desiring to take away entries..
