PERSONAL.
Mr and Mrs H. C. Collinson returned to Palmerston yesterday after a lengthy visit to the Old Country. Mr E. McKemia was presented with a photograph of his late staff and a bulky purse of sovereigns by Mr Wbitcombe, Traffic Manager, on behalf of the Wanganui railway employees, on Saturday last.
A somewhat deep seated fibrous tumour was most skilfully and successfully removed from Mr R. C. Bruce's back by Dr. Sorley at Feilding on Tuesday. The tumour was attributable to a fall over a cliff in Paraekaretu about a year ago. Mr Bruce, though somewhat weak, is progressing most favorably.
