Smoke Concert.
Last night a most enjoyable smoke concert was held to inaugurate the incoming season. There was a large attendance, and a long musical programme and toast list was gone through. During the programme the president of the Manawatu Cricket Association, Mr F. E. Watson,: pre-" sented the trophies won last season as follows:—Senior cup to the Midland; junior cup to the Alhambra. Musical items were contributed by Messrs F. Holland, C. Pickering, Bond, Tew, and F. E. Watson.
