The Post says that Stratford RacingClub's meeting resulted in a profit of £1000.
Aβ the result of lately developed soreness Sir Antrim will be an absentee from the Wellington meeting and he is also a very unlikely starter at Foxton on the second day of the meeting. The Soult colt has not been put out of work, but it has been rightly decided not to take any risks with him as far as racing at Wellington is concerned. His full brother Lord Soult is striding along well in his work and is a likely starter at Foxton.
A. M. Wright, who previously trained Rangihaeta, has a. half-brother to the hurdler in work and he displays a special aptitude for the business.
There ■ is a big crowd of horses at work at Foxton, some on the beach and some on the course. The tracks are in splendid condition, springy and fast, and it now only requires fine weather on Saturday and Monday to achieve complete success.
