The annual meeting of the above is being held at Ohakuno to-day. Corresponding secretary, Bro. I. tealek, presented the following report on the year s transactions: — sY'orthy Grand Master, D.G.M., and Delegates: —The date of our annual meeting has again arrived, and, thanks to the invitation of our Ohakune brethren, we arc assembled here to transact the business and further tho interests of tho district and Lodges. The last half-year-has been one of very great interest, and has given your officers a good deal of thought and management, and 1 am pleased to say that wfe have now the Lodges settled down in good working order. The Prov. Grand Master and myself paid an official visit to most of the Lodges and succeeded in settling a good many difficulties that had arisen: As you * are aware, at our last Districtmeeting we adopted a new set of District Rules, and I am pleased to say these are now registered and will soon be available for Lodges. I have the tables of rates and contributions for admitting females to our Lodges, and, if accepted, could be embodied in our District-Rules. I regret to say that the new Friendly Societies Act, as iirst introduced into the House, has been so altered and finally passed that the new Act is no improvement upon the old one. The business to be submitted to you is ordinary. Business in connection with our next B.M.C. meeting will bo presented, as also the system under which our District will be worked under the new rules. You will be asked to elect your officers, and decide the place of next meeting. Reviewing the financial position of our Lodges, we" find the total funds to be £25,857. an increase of £1226 for the year. On sick claims £914 and £50 funeral, which is £122 less than the preceding year. We have 1057 members, which shows a loss of 80 members for the year.

The Lodge details are as follows: —_ Loyal AVanganui Lodge. Wanganui.— Total funds amount to £16,481, an in crease of £219 for the year, notwithstanding that the large amount of £467 has been paid out on eick claims, which is £15 more than tho preceding year. Tho funds of this Lodge are well invested ; £6785 lent on mortgage and £9455 on freehold property producing good rentals. Interest and rentals for the year amount to £712. The membership stands at 273.

Loyal Manawatu Lodge. Palmerston North. —Total funds £3565, a gain of £313 for the year. ■ Sick claims have been very light, only £98 paid out as against £177 last year. This Lodge has £2500 out on mortgage, £1000 in hall property, balance cash in hand, which produced -a revenue of £151 for the year. Membership, 250. Loyal Rangitikei Lodge, Mangawcka.— Tota"l funds £1038, a gain of £150. £73 paid out for sickness during the year as against £46 for the preceding year. The funds are well invested on mortgage and Lodge property, which produced £35 for tho vcar. There are 74 members.

Loyal Awarua Lodge. Ohingaiti.— Funds, about £646. as appeared in last year's statement. The money is invested on mortgage and hall property. £57 naid out on sick claims, £12 more than last year. Membership. 37.

Loyal Apiti Lodge. Apiti.—Total funds £1030, a gain of £153; the small amount of £32 only paid out for sickness ae against £73"for the preceding year. This Lodge has £750 out on mortgage. £198 in' Lodge property and the balance of money in Bank, producing £54 revenue. Membership 91, a gain of 2. Loyal Mataroa Lodge, Mataroa. —Funds £165. an increase of £5. Sick claims amounted to £22. about the same as last year. The whole of the funds are in the P.O. Membership, 16.

Loyal Kimbolton Lodge, Kimbolton.— Total funds £94. an increase of £21. £11 paid out on eick claims, which is £3 less than last year. Membership. 29.

Loyal. Foxton Lodge. Foxton. —Total funds £131. an increase of £20 for the year. Sick claims paid out on £31, £11 less than last year. Twenty-eight members.

Loyal Hunterville Lodge. Hunterville. —Total funds £69, a gain of £8. Sick pav of £23 has been paid out as against only £5 for the preceding year. Membership. 15.

Loyal Manchester Lodge, Foil-diner. — Total funds £1396. an increase of £226. Sick claims of £55 paid out., £27 less than last year. This Lodge has £680 on mortgage and £647 in hall property, producing a revenue of £55. Membership, 97.

Loyal Bunnvthorpe Lodge. Bunnvtbnrpe.—Total funds £315, p (rain of £61. £5 paid out for sickness, £3 low; than last year. The Lodge has now £250 out oh mortgage. Membership, 36. Loval Hautanu Lodge, Taihape.— Funds about £390. a. gain of about £60. £15 paid out on sickness, about the sumo as Inst year. ' Membership 61. a gain of 1. Several details are required to correctly estimate the nosition of this Lodge. Loyal Ohakune Lodge.—Funds : Comnletf, returns are not vet to hand, but the funds are about £55, a gain of £10. although about £25 has been paid out for sickness. Membership 50; same as at last period. SUMMARY.
