— - — ♦— — y NOTICES OF MOTION. [UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.] London, June 14. Mr Medley, of behalf of the London Chamber of Commerce, moves at the approaching Congress, " That a fiscal union of the Empire, by means of preferential duties based ou Protection, will be politically dangerous and economically disastrous." He will recommend that the autonomous colonies adopt Freetrade. An Aberdeen delegate will move, "That it is expedient that the commercial laws of the Empire be embodied ia a code," and will suggest the appointment of a Commission, representing all parts of the Empire, to draw it up. Lord Brassey, m the place of Sir John Lubbook, will move m favour of closer commercial relations between England and tho ooionies. Mr Dibbs has been requested to second this motion.
