Corinthian Cup of 15 sovs, with a sweep of £llos each added; second horse to save his stake; distance one mile and a quarter. One event; welter weights. Sixth Race. Hurry Scurry of sovs; catch weights; post entry. RULES AND REGULATIONS. No one who is not a subscriber of £2 to the fund will be allowed to enter a horse except for the District and Shearers' Purse. Hack Races free. Entries for all races not otherwise specified to be made to the Secretary at the Waiau, the evening before the races, between the hours of 4 and 7. The decision of the stewards in all disputes to be final. All horses to be walked and cantered past the stand before proceeding to the starting post. That on the race day only horses engaged in the events in the programme will be allowed to gallop on the running ground, except by permission of the stewards, or on payment of £l. 4687 C. J. C. No allowance for mares and geldings. Entrance, £5. Selling Flat Race of £25, added to a sweepstake of £2 each. 1 mile. Weight for age. The winner to be sold by auction immediately after the race, and any surpluß to go to the.fund. The winner to be sold for £100; if entered to be sold for £75, allowed 71bs; for £SO, allowed 14lbs; for £3O, allowed 2Ubs; and for £2O, allowed 28lbs. Racehorses take their ages from the Ist July. Owners of all horses will be required to bring satisfactory evidence of age, pedigree, and performances. Entries to close on the Saturday previous to the Races. All entries to he addressed to the Secretary of C. J. C., Christchurch. The earliest poßßible notice will be given of the day of the Meeting.
