FOR SALE, t THE PADDLE STEAMER i COMERANG | - rpHIS Eine Steamship has " JL been trading very profitably \ during the past 12 months bep- tween Lyttelton and Dunedin, & calling at all intermediate portß. She has ako proved herself very well adapted for the Kaiapoi trade, having on several occasions entered that port and loaded a full cargo of grain, and has not found the slightest difficulty in crossing the bar. She is now in perfect working order, and will re- ■ quire no great outlay for years to come. The following particulars were given on her leaving Sydney in December 1867, all of which have been proved correct .• The Comerang, wooden paddle steamer, of 200 tons, builders' measurement; built by Mr Cuthbert of Sydney, 1865, under the superintendence of Mr Korff, fitted with 2 engines, of 70 horse power combined, by the celebrated house of Steward and Co,, Deptford, England. Dimensions are as follows : Length, 144 feet 6 inches; beam, 22 feet ' 4 inches; depth, 6 feet 8 inches. ' Her carrying capacity is very large, and 1 her accommodation for all classes of passen- ; gers excellent. Speed, 8J knots. The ' Comerang is a good sea boat, and a vessel of 1 unusual strength of build. She was intended for trading over a shallow bar on the Coast of I New South Wales, but which entrance has now ceased to be navigable. The draught of water ; (loaded) does not exceed 6 feet, which would ■ give her a singular advantage over any other

steamer plying on the New Zealand coast. The consumption of fuel ia moderate, She was fitted a year since with an extended false keel to facilitate steering, and two kelsons for protection on taking the ground. She has this month been placed on the patent Blip Pyrmont for examination, when the copper, &c„ were found in perfect order. She leaves Sydney in the most complete order, both as to hull and machinery. She is also fitted with a donkey engine for receiving and delivering cargo, and her wheels have patent feathering floats, Apply to CARGILLS & M'LEAN, Dunedin. And to E. S.
