A fair list of quotations on other event* could not be made out last night, but the state of the betting on the Christchnrch Plate and C.J C. Handicap may be fairly calculated by comparing the amounts for which the respective horses sold, with thr value of the sweeps. A £5 sweep on the Cup will be drawn thi< evening at nine o'clock.
