MAIL NOTICES.
Mails per Tarawa, for the United Kingdom, the Continent of Europe, America (via Panama), and tho Northern Ports of New Zealand, will close at Christchurch at 10 a.m., and at Lyttelton at 1 p.m., on Friday, the 6th of Sept. Money-orders must be procured at Christchurch before 3 p.m. and Lyttelton before 1 p m,, and letters for registry must be posted before 5 p.m. on Thursday, the sth Sept. Late letters for places within and beyond the colony, by payment of an extra sixpenny stamp upon each letter, can be posted at Christchurch till 1 p.m., and Lyttelton till 2.30 p.m. on Friday, the 6th Sept.
