■Mails;per Panama New Zealand and Australian Royal Mail Company's steamer, for the United Kingdom, the Continent of Europe (for specially addressed letters only) India, tho Meditterranean ports, the Australian colonies, Otago, and. Southland, will olose at Christchurch at 10.30 . : a,m,'|' and Lyttelton, at 2 p.m. on Thursday, tho 18th instant.
"Registered letters at 9.30 a.m. ;.Late letters for places beyond the Colony, by !pay.merit !of anextra shilling stamp, and for places within the Colony, by payment of an extra sixpenny stamp upon each letter, can be posted at Christchurch till 1 p.m., and at Lyttelton till 2.30 p.m., on Thursday the 18th instant. ..Mails per New Zealand/Steam Navigation Company's steamer, for the Northern ports of ;New,Zealand, will close at Christchurch and lyttelton at 4.30 p.m., on Saturday, the 20th instant.
