Mails per Wellington for England, tho Continent of Europe, America ["via Panama], and the Northern ports of New Zealand, will close at Christchurch at 7 a.m., and at Lyttelton, at 9 a.m., on Wednesday, the flth proximo. Money orders must bo procured at Christchurch before 3 p.m., and at Lyttelton before 1 p.m, and letters for registry must'be posted before 6 p.m., on Tuesday, the sth June. Letters, books, and newspapers, to bo forwarded by this route to the undermentioned places will bo charged as under :
Letters and books for the United Kingdom and the Continent of Europo, via tho United King, dom will be charged at the same rates as those sent by the Suez route; but newspapers and prices current for the United Kingdom will be charged one penny each, and for the Continent of Europe via the United Kingdom one penny additional to the rates now charged via Suez and the United Kingdom.
