BY ACT of the General Assembly of New Zej land, the Colonial Treasurer is authorised I raise TEMPORARY LOANS on Debentures (t be repaid out of money to be borrowed under th New Zealand Loan Act, 1863) with a Currency c from One to Three Years, bearing Interest at tli rate of 8 per cent, per annum, on the Ist day c July, in every year. The Principal and Interest will be made payabl at the Treasury, in Wellington, New Zealand; t the Oriental Bank in Sydney or Melbourne; or a the Bank of New Zealand, in London, at the optio of the purchasers. Tenders will be received until 12 o'clock, nooi on WEDNESDAY, the 22nd day of February, 1861 at the Bank of New Zealand, Wellington, for th purchase of £25,000 of these Debentures, specifyin the total amount of Debentures required, and th rate per cent which will be given for the same—t be addressed to the " Manager of the Bank of Nei Zealand, Wellington, with the words "Tender fo New Zealand General Government 8 per Cent. Wher Tenders are made upon the same terms, a pro rati distribution upon such Tenders will be made. Debentures will be issued in such sums fron Twenty pounds to One Thousand pounds, and o such currency, from One to Three years, as the sue cessful Tenderers may elect,—when those receivini allocation of Debentures, or their Agents, will be re quired to state at which of the above places thei principal and interest are to be payable. The Debentures contracted for will be delivered a the Bank of New Zealand, Wellington, on Wednes day the Ist day of March next, between the hours o 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., upon payment of the amount du thereon.
