Prize medals were awarded to Merryweather & Son at the London and Paris Exhibitions of 1851, 1855, and 1862, for the best and most powerful Block Hand-power Fire Engines, of all descriptions and sizes, suitable for Fire Brigades, Towns, Insurance Companies, Factories, Docks, Railways, Public Buildings, Mansions, Ships, Farms, &c.
