NOTICE. NOTICE. NOTICE. WOOD'S ANNUAL CIRCULAR. I CANNOT let this first year of my connection with the trade of Christchurch close without offering my unfeigned thanks for the unprecedented success which has attended my endeavours. From a small beginning, this business is now second to none in Canterbury of its kind; giving, I believe, satisfaction to my numerous customers, has led to this desirable result. To the trade, Mess: Buxton. Boggis, Holingsworth, Peters, and Ernshaw, I have to acknowledge a degree of courtesy to myself, highly gratifying, and to all, with hut one exception, I tender my coidial thanks, leaving with confidence the public to discriminate between this especial and solitary exception and myself. In conclusion, I may add, that nothing shall be wanting on my part to confirm the good opinion hitherto accorded me by this community. And remain, Theirs respectfully, JAMES WOOD. The stock not to be surpassed by any house in New Zealand for quality or variety of its goods, and far too extensive to particularise, offers inducements to purchasers unequalled, and has lately been largely supplemented by arrivals from Port Phillip, and per Dona Anita, and will be further enlarged by an extensive shipment just arrived per Accrington, corri-i prising most goods appertaining to the trade, besides an assortment of Peat's best saddlery, Swaine and Co. s whips, &c. I can therefore with confidence offer to the public the choicest selection ever imported.
