NOTICE TO TIMBER MERCHANTS. THE Provincial Government of Canterbury are prepared to receive tenders for the supply of the following timber • Ist. The same as the last lot, to be delivered at the Public Works Yard in Kaiapoi. The whole of the timber must be of hardwood, the description to be specified in the tenders. No white pine or rimu will be received. Payment will be made at the rate of 75 per cent on delivery, and the balance on completion of the contract. Tenders for one or more of the above lots must be sent to the Provincial Secretary on or before the Ist of September, 1862. Parties tendering will state at what time they will be prepared to complete delivery. TENDERS are invited for a Trigono- i nometrical and Topographical Survey | of the country on the sea coast, between the rivers Pareora and Waitangi. The tenders must state the time by which delivery will be expected. The acceptance of any tender will be subject to the approval of the Provincial Council.
