CANTERBURY VOLUNTEER RIFLES.

On Friday evening, the 12th instant, after parade, the Christchurch Companies, Nos. 1 and 2, were invited by their captains to a supper at the Market Hall. Townsend; and last, but not least, the two companies toasted and responded to each other's healths separately. Festivities were kopt up to a late hour, when the corps separated, highly satisfied with their evening's enjoyment. B "
