Leading Article, was fouled at Nelson, where he won the Leger in lbo~, beatin^ Mr. Timlin's Gipsey Queen, and on the following day, the Ladies' Purse beaung Mr Newcomb's mare Vesta, and Mr. Godhey s horse Silver Tail, Leading Article carrying 13 lbs. over weight: distance, one mile and obb yards- run in 2 minutes and 21 seconds.
