NOTICE, THE following Gentlemen have been duly proposed, or have duly signified their intention of offering themselves as Candidates for election as members of the Council of the Society of Land Purchasers, at the next meeting of the Society to be held January Ist, 1852:- — Messrs. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that Public Meetings of the Inhabitants of the Settlement will be held on Thursday, January Ist, at 3 p.m., at the White Hart Inn, at Christchurch, and on Friday, 2nd January, at 6 p.m., at the Mitre Hotel, at Lyttelton, for the purpose of taking into consideration the best means of completing the road communication between the Port and the Plains.
