CETTINJE, Oct. 14. Montenegrins engaged 15,000 Austrians north-east of Serajevo.
The fight culminated in a four hours' bayonet fight. . The Austrians were defeated, losing 2500. The Montenegrins lost 300, including two of their generals, wounded.

The Austrian Army Gazette announces the retirement of five prominent generals, including three army corps' commanders.
Vigilance on the Austro-Italian frontier is much stricter;. Denunciations, domiciliary visits, and arrests of Italians in Trieste continue. Most of the civilians have quitted Pola.
