TOWN BOARD MEETING.
The usual monthly meeting of the Towi Board was held on Wednesday last in 11.■ ' Couithor.se. when there wen- present I Messrs S. T< Brent, (Chairman), R. i>. j Dansey and Dr Ginders. It was poiute out that Mr Mueller might be unaware that there was no train for Auckland on Saturday, and it was decided to ask him if the third Wednesday in the month would suit him. From Mrs Brinkley asking permission to run 8 or it head of cattle in tlio town.- - ■Resolved that a negative answer be returned, as the depasturing licence only applied to quii '. horses. Finn, Mr E. Robertson asking that tint wafer supply be extended along Tutanckai street, and enclosing letter from the Sur-veyor-General referring him to the Board. Re-olyed that the water supply is require I ;•> be extended from Fentou street,. Kruera, Hinemoa, Pukuatua and Haiipapu streets; that. .Mr Purccll bo asked to measure up the distances, the same to be forwarded to the Surveyor-General with an From Mr. F. B. Scott on behalf of virions residents asking that Pukuatua street bo formed a&d.the continuation towards the Taupo road clearc I and drained necessary. - Resolved that tenders be called for the ■Work. Fenton street; That the footpath on the western side fr..m Hinemoa street to the railway goods-shed gate be raised and sanded- Hinemoa street; That the roadway and path be filled up near The Langham, the storm-water to run along Hineinaru street into Erucra street water tnblci A('( Ot'NTS.
