MELBOURNE. October 28. A notice of motion has been given in the Upper House for an address to the Queen, referring the Darling vote to her Majesty’s decision. There have been considerable auction sales of oilmen’s stores at fair prices; the damaged portion of the cargo of sugar ex Etienne et Laurent will be offered at auction to-morrow. E. Lamb, merchant, has suspended payment liabilities? £15,000 ; assets, £12,500. ADELAIDE. October 29. A hoax was perpetrated last night. Some persons obtained access to the •guns on the Park Lands, and fired the signal for the arrival of the Galatea. All the town turned out.
