The Australians have lost three wicketa for 32 ruus. Thoso out are Bonnor, Bannerman,' and Jones. The New Zealand two million 4 per cent loan, at a minimum of 965, for which tenders will bo opened on the 7th, is quoted at a premium of 1 por cent. (Received Juno 1, 8.20 p.m.) It is thought that in consequence of the pledge given by tho Parliament of Now Zealand not to borrow in tho London market for three years, the loan prospects are excellent. By an Order-in-Council a certain portion of New Guinea has been created British territory. In tlio first innings of the Players Ferres secured three wickets for 35 rnns, Turner four wickets for 94, and Rout three wickets for 67. The weekly returns of the Bank of England published to-day show tho total reserve in notes and bullion to bo £12,200,000, ami the proportion of the roHurvu to the liabilities 40 per cent, boing an increase ofi £100,000 on the total resorve and an increase of 1 per cent on tho proportion of the reserve to the liabilities. Tho Standard spitefully attacks tho New Zealand loan. It suggests that tho money is wanted to meet tho budget deficit and sustain mercantile credits. In the House of Commons, Mr MacArthur having stated in the course of a bpoech that ox-King Malietoa was Hiiuriliccd by England in order to gain Germany's support in Kgypt, Sir James Fergnsson retorted that it was not inuum'jpiit upon England to protect King Maliolou. Mi Bright is still very weak.
