FINAL NOTE FROM GERMANY.
__, SAYS SHE YIELDS. TO SUPERIOR FORCE. (Rec. June 27. 9.10 p.m.) j PARIS. June 26 Germany's final note on the Peace Treaty said: "Germany yields to. overwhelming force, but the terms involve an unheard of injustice." PRESIDENT 'S EXPLANATION. FORCED TO SIGN TERMS. LONDON, June 26. It is reported from Berlin that Herr Ebert has issued an-impassioned'pro-clamation that the Government, heavy ac heart and under pressure of brute force, has agreed to sign 1 . All efforts must be directed to tho fulfilment' of the Treaty. Each unfulfilled obligation means the extension of die blockade. The Government is in sympathy with the troops' cmbittcrment a.gainst delivering Germans to enemy courts; ! but unless there is internal order millions, instead of a fc-w hundred will be endangered. Peace i-s impossible without the fulfilment of the Treaty, and the signature valueless without the cooperation of all. Delay by days may cost, the children years of slavery. The preservation of the Empire and national safety through unity of work are the only light out of the Treaty's darkness.
