There are. cries of distress and misery in 'the Czech lands. The newspapers arc , full of letters from the wounded, beg- ' ging for. even a few potatoes. There are lamentations in Bohemia, where there are three meatless days weekly, fhe number of meals in some restau.^ rants have increased fivefold. The sale of tobacco Is prohibited at restaurants and cafes.
