WELL DONE, HONG KONG.
A SPLENDID RECORD.
HONG KONG, June 25. Some 19,648 boys, who were trained in the reformatory or industrial schools, have served in the military and naval forces during the war. Three have won Victoria Crosses, twenty-five distinguished conduct medals, twenty were mentioned in despatches, three decorated by the French Government, eight received commissions, 592 were killed, and 1540 wounded. The Home Secretary has written, congratulating the schools.
