Mr Bert McQueen, of the Bank oi New Soutli Wales, Patea, has been sponQing a short holiday with his parents Mr anct Mrs 0. McQueen, after having undergone an operation in Patea Hospital. He returns overland to-morrow via Nelson to resume his duties. The little son of Frank and Rebacca Sweetman, agred 54 years, passed away at the parents residence on Saturday evening after an illness of 15 months duration, having contracted rheumatic fever, and was never able to throw it off. Much 1 sympathy is expressed with Mr and Mrs. Sweetman in their sad trial.
