HAYWARD'S PICTURES
Despite tho excitement over the election campaign, last evening a very fair number of patrons wended their way to the Lyceum Theatre, where another really good programme was screened.' A fine film was that entitled " The Retreat from Moscow," which showed the victorious Napoleon on the field of battle at Borodino, where he defeated the opposing Russian army. A fine sight was the entry of the victorious army into tho ill-fated capital Moscow. Some fine views were given of the burning city, the crestfallen General leading the remnants of bis fine army on their terrible return journey, exposed as they were to the rigours of winter, and harassed by Cossacks, peasants, and wolves. The supporting pictures were all of a first-class order.
