MR A. VENABLES ORDAINED.
Mr Arthur Vernon Venables (late curate to the Rev. A. S. Innes Jones, of Feilding) was ordained to the office of deacon by the Bishop of Auckland at an ordination service on Tuesday. Archdeacon Hawkins presented the candidate, and the sermon was preached by the Rev. J. T. McWilliam. The newly-ordained deacon was afterwards licensed to the curacy of Mount Albert, Avondale, and Mangere.
