A flutter has been caused among Presbyterian leaders by the receipl of cables throwing further doubt or tho genuineness of the Albanian whe has been accepted in America, New Zealand, and three States of Austin lia as Prince Gustave Dikran, Emii of Albania. Dikran brought letters which look, ed all right, and he was introducec by a clergyman, whoso son, a clergyman in Suva, had met Dikran on hi; way through to New Zealand. Dikran was accepted by the- Presbyterj of South Melbourne, and has been j touring Victoria and South Australia raising money for a new medical mission, wliich, ho states, he is founding in Albania. Sydney has telegraphed to Adelaide clergymen that Dikran is not a prince, and that ho is not hiding irom the Turks. That mesage is supposed to be the result of enquiries in Europe. ( The Victorian Moderator, Rev. W. S. Rolland, has another message cabled from Beyreuth College, where Dikran says he graduated. Mr Rolland wrote to Dr. Blitz, head of the college, and asked him to cable genuine or false. The cable reads: False. Blitz." Tho church leaders are convinced that Dikran is not a prince. Proba- . bly he graduated at Beyreuth. Dikran has left Adelaide and is believed to be in Melbourne.
