ADDINGTON STOCK SALES.

Christchurch, April 26.

/Store Sheep.—6-th and. 8-th crossbred ewes made 10s Id. to lis, 6-th aud 8-th halfbred lis to 12s, 2-tooth halfbreds 10s 6d to lis, sound-mouth lots 8s 3d to 9s 6d, fair-mouthed of inferior class 6s 6d to Bs, potters 3s to ss, merino culls Is 4d; fair lambs 7s 9d to 8s 4d, average lots 6s 6d to 7s, inferior 4s to os 6d; wethers (Chatham Island) 10s 6d to lis 7d, medium 9s 3d to 9s 9d, others 8s 9d. Fat lambs—There were 4542 taken for freezing at 9s to 15s 9d, a few special lambs making 17s 6d to 18s Od; 197 were taken by butchers at 8s to 14s lOd, 136 by graziers at 8s to 8s 9d, and 62 were passed at 9s 5d to 10s 6d.

Fat Sheep.—Extra prime wethers to 255, prime 16s to 19s, lighter Us to 15s 6d.; prime ewes 13s to. 17s lOd, medium 10s 6d to 12s 6d, others os Gd to 10s; merino wethers 7s 6d to 9s 6d.

Fat Cattle. —Four prize bullocks made £14 to £16. Steers sold at £7 15s to £12 12s 6d, extra to £16; heifers £5 15s to £8 2s 6d, extra to uiO os; cows £5 7s 6d to £8 17s 6d. These prices were equal to 25s to 29s 6d per 1001b for prime, extra to 325, medium 22s to 23s 6d, and cow and inferior 20s to 21s 6d.

Veal calves made 4s 6d to 50s, and some extra large went to 655.

Store Cattle. —Yearlings made 20s, 15 to 18-month 83s to 425, 2yr steers £3 15s to £4 2s, 3yr steers £6 los to £7 15s, 3yr heifers £4 3s, and dry cows 25s to £4 10s. Dairy cows sold well, ranging from £3 10s to £9 ss, and up to £11 for extra good. Pigs.—A sharp decline in values. Choppers sold up to 60s. Large baconers made 45s to 50s, smaller 32s 6d to 42s 6d, equal to 3£d to 3Jd per lb; large porkers 25s to 30s, smaller 18s to 22s 6d, equal to 3sd to 4d per lb. Best stores made 16s 6d to 225, medium 12s 6d to 15s 6d, vnaller 8s to 12s; weaners Is to ss.
