An elderly Maori named Nehaugara was killed in a trap accident last night. He left town the worse for liquor in a gig, which he drove at a ..gallop. When about a mile out he collided with another gig, and was thrownout. The horse attached to the other gig became unmanageable and backed the vehicle over the Maori, who was badly injured on the upi>er part of the -body. He succumbed m the hospital a few hours later.
