Dunedin,. Wednesday. At Burnside market 164 cattle were penned, including a number of very fine bullocks. One line of eighteen (North Otago) averaged over Lll 7s ; one fine bullock, Ll3 ss ; heifers and cows were frbm 6s to 10s apove last week. Best bullocks Lll to Lll 17s 6d, extra Ll2 17s fid to LIS ss. Fat sbeep — 2100 penned. This proved more than sufficient for requirements, and prices were somewhat easier, especially towards the end of the side, except for heaviest sheep. Best wethers 24s to 25s 9d, extra to 28s, good 22s to 23s 9d, light 18s fid to 21s, best ewes 19s to 22s 6d, extra to 265. Fat lambs— 2oo permed. These met witii a ready sale at prices about equal to last week's. Best 17s to 18s, extra to 19s 9d, good 14s to 16s 6<l Pigs — 51 penned, mostly baconers and small sorts Prices for baconers and porkers are very much firmer. Suckers 7s to lis, slips 13s to 18s, stores 19s to 235, porkers 28s to 38s, light baconers 44s to 48s, heavy 50s to 61s.
