Major Wardill has requested the Marylebone Club to select a team of cricketers to visit Australia next year. It is believed tbe request will be complied with. He will suggest that Captain Wynyard take charge of the team.

Darling's scoie of yesterday in tbe match at Leeds gives him a record of 1000 runs in test matches.

Shrews bury's aggregate is 1277, George Giffen's 1288, and A. C. Darling left Australia this year with a test-match aggregate of 907, and his last five innings have yielded 47, 14, 9, 17, and 9 respectively, bringing bis aggregate up to 1003.
