President of the Board of Trade and Minister of Production, Captain Oliver Lyttelton. Minister of Labour and National Service, Mr. Richard A. Butler. Home Secretary, Sir Donald Sommervillc. Secretary of State for India and Burma, Mr. Leopold Amery. Colonial Secretary, Colonel Oliver Stanley. First Lord of the Admiralty, Mr. Brendan Bracken. Secretary of "War, Sir J. Grigg. Secretary for Air, Captain Harold Macmillan. Secretary of State for Scotland, the Earl of Rosebery. Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, Mr. R. S. Hudson. Lord Chancellor, Lord Simon. Lord Woolton will have the general responsibility of reconstruction, but Sir Arthur Salter will have the responsibility in matters affecting European reconstruction. Lord Cranborne will be Leader of the House of Lords and Mr. Eden Leader of the House of Commons. The Ministeries of Home Security and Economic Warfare are being wound up as a result of the end of the war in Europe, and the positions of Resident Ministers at Allied Headquarters in the Mediterranean and in Washington (for supply) will not be filled Ministerially. The Home Office will be responsible for any residuary civil defence functions, and the remaining functions of the Ministry of Economic Warfare will be transferred to the Foreign Office.—B.O.W.
