WAR AROUND TIDDIM
Rec. noon. RUGBY, October 18. The British operations round Tiddim were again supported by concentrated attacks from fighter-bombers, reports South-east Asia headquarters. Artillery continued to shell the Japanese positions near Buthidaung, where an ammunition dump was among the targets hit.
In bad weather, aircraft of the Eastern Air Command on Tuesday successfully bombed enemy concentrations in Arakan.- One Allied aircraft is missing from these and other operations throughout Burma.— B.O.W.
