DRIVE IN CHEKIANG
ENEMY TAKES A TOWN
LONDON, May 19.
Chungking reports that no change has taken place on the Yunnan-Burma front, but that in the Chinese coastal provroee of Chekiang, where the Japanese began a new offensive a few days ago, the enemy has captured Chuki, a town on the railway north of the capital.
This gain was made by three Japanese columns which converged on the town. Two of the columns then turned south-westwards along the railway and entered another town.
