Mr. E. C. Harvie, of Wellington, has been elected an honorary life member of the New Zealand Body Builders' Association. m . Dr. F. J. Gwynne has. been elected to fill the vacancy on the Auckland University College Council caused by the resignation of Mr. F. W. Schramm, M.P. Dr. Gwynne will represent the members of the General Assembly living in the Auckland provincial district.
Mr. R. L. Button was elected chairman of the Hutt County Council at its annual meeting yesterday, this being his second term of office. He was also re-elected the council's representative on the Free Ambulance Board for the thirteenth year in succession.
