NAZI MINESWEEPERS
<Rec. 1.10 p.m.) RUGBY, May 15. An attack was made by British fighters upon three German minesweepers off Cherbourg peninsula toThe minesweepers were attacked at a low level by Spitfires and Hurricane bombers about four miles from shore. They were steaming west at ten knots. One minesweeper was hit amidships and blew up. another was set on fire and left sinking, and a third was damaged.
None of the aircraft is missing
An enemy bomber was destroyed by R.A.F. .fighters off the east coast of England early this morning—B.O.W.
