AIDE FOR GENERAL WAVELL
LONDON, May 15
General Sir Alan Hartley has been appointed Deputy Commander-in-Chief in India. His appointment is intended to relieve General Wavell of the manifold administrative duties connected with the Indian Forces. He will be a member of the Council of State and the National Defence Council.
