WELLINGTON WELSH SOCIETY

The programme at the Welsh Society's social evening, which was held recently in the University Women's Clubroom, was in the-hands of Mrs. Wilman and the Ngaio Ladies' Choir. An interesting address was given by Mrs. V. Wakelin, of Bible House,1 on the origin of the Bible Society, and a humorous sketch, adapted from "Barnaby Rudge," by Mrs. Cruttenden, was presented by members of the Dickens Fellowship. Solos were given by Mrs. Hartnell, Mrs. Wilman, Mrs. Browne, and Mr. Thomas Wood. The Ngaio Ladies' Choir, under the conductorship of Mrs. Wilman, gave a number of enjoyable items, and a duet, by Mrs. Wilman and Mrs. Cheverell, was very well received. A play, "Husbands Supplied." was read,by the choir ladies.
