THORNDON CIRCUIT
• The quarterly meeting of the Thorndon Methodist Circuit was .held at the Kaiwarra Church last week, the Rev, v R. B. Gosnell presiding. z The financial report for the quartershowed the circuit to be in a satis-r----factory position. Arrangements were^made for the harvest festival services, which are to be held at the loatf churches in March. ,1 A report on the youth -work was ready* the main feature of which being suqs-7 t cessful Sunday school anniversary setvices and end of the year functions %t^ each of the churches. r Mr. C. H. Ham was unanimously re- s > elected senior circuit steward. It was^' left to the chairman to make an aP*%,<. pointment to the position of1 financial^ steward. Mr. C. R. Ridding; who had & formerly held that position, has found* it'necessary to resign for, health reasons. Appreciation of the work he haddone and deep regret that he could notcontinue it at the present time were - expressed by several members. A brief report of the synod, held at Wellington in November, was given by
