CAMP ENTERTAINERS
A THOUGHTFUL GESTURE
On Sunday morning at 6.30 the 19th Wellington Rifle Battalion, under the command of Lieut-Colonel S. Varnham, M.C., E.D., left by train for intensive training up country.
The organiser and secretary of the Official Camp Entertainers drove out to the camp siding, and in each carriage placed a large bundle of papers and good magazines for the men. This gesture was much appreciated by the men, who were very soon engrossed in the interesting literature. Tlie executive committee of the Official Camp Entertainers wish to thank Mr. E. A. Batt and Mr. Sutherland (A.A.) for a large selection of magazines, Mr. L. Blundell for 200 copies of Saturday's "Sports Post," and Whitcombe and Tombs and Mr. Gladstone Hill for their generous donation of books and papers.
