RINGLING'S COINCIDENCE
A coincidence about the success ,of Rineling in the Oroua Nursery HandicaS at leilding last Saturday was that she was opening her winning account £ thl same race as her half-sister Varimond did twelve months ago . Ringling was having her third start unde/ colours. When making her debut she finished third to Gold Dale and Saxon Tor, two older horses, in t^JuvSSe Handicap at Stratford ast month, and on the first day at Fading last week she showed up briefly in thi middle stages after having been slow away. On Saturday she outclassed her opposition."-She. w a. black filly by the Colorado horse Ringmaster, sire also of Master Hotspur and Taitama out of the* Pombal— Motley mare Variable, who never raced but was a Xell-bred • half-sister >to Variant Moquette, and Legatee. She is being raced on lease by the New Plymouth trainer H. Dulieu from the -Messrs. Smith, of Wotan fame, who purchased her .cheaply at the yearling sales for 80 guineas.
