FLAXMILL AWARD
An award covering the Manawatu flaximill and flax textile industry has been issued by Mr. J, A. Gilmour, S.M., on behalf of the Arbitration Couit. The award provides for a 44-hour week and for wages ranging from 2s 4d to 2s 9d an hour.
■■ Two first offenders for drunkenness \ were convicted and discharged by Mr. J. L". Stout, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court today.
