TRAINING AGAIN
L. A. Maidens, who relinquished training two years ago, has again taken up his profession and is getting a useful team together. Included in the number under his care is Rey Spec, who on.occasions has shown the form of a champion but a tendency to dwell on the mark. He is possibly past his best, but Ma&ftens has.;proved something of a master in winning races with ,horses that apparently have shown their best form on the race track. Rey' Spec raced: at Hutt Park last Saturday and while he failed to run into a place his form was good enough to encourage his trainer to persevere -with him. Others in the team are King's Jubilee, and Palomar, both distinctly useful. A. few years ago Maidens enjoyed outstanding success with Blue Mountain and Harvest Child and he was responsible for the education of Donald Dhuj one of the most promising pacers in commission. ■ ■ ■ ■ ■•..'• ."■■':■.■■ ■•
